Has anyone fitted the late Lucas electronic dizzy 65 DM4 to a 1275 A series? If so what problems if any? I know the coil needs to be changed as well

Why would the coil need to be changed ?

You could probably take advantage of a higher output coil but it wouldn't be essential.

This distributor runs a different coil but is totally electronic it was fitted to very late Mini and Metros, just wondering if I can expect problems that was all..................I have the correct coil, but the rotor is 21degrees offset!

It just looks like an updated A series distributor:

I don't understand why the rotor arm is offset 21deg though.
It must still have mechanical advance & obviously still has vacuum advance so it's not that complicated - it's just the switching action that has changed.
It's still the essentially the same engine so I don't know why (or how) the rotor would be offset.

How about removing the drive dog & rotating/repinning it to suit ?

I doubt it's a special coil though. It might look different & have a higher output but that's about it (it might have a modern connection).
