has any one fitted or has thought of fitting reverse lights on the morrie.

can any one think of a reverse/ number plate assembly that will look good?

i can think of one, but getting one will be a challenge. its off a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud. there is a pic on the link below of a bentley (same as RR)

Both mine & the missus morries have reverse lights, I just hung a 50 watt square spottie under the rear bumper, it's run off the dato box reverse switch through a relay to take the load off.
With a morrie box you would have to run a manuel switch or i saw in an old 50's mag once how a bloke made a bracket on top of the box, he had a brake light switch tha a flat on the gearstick pressed against.
It makes it easier to get out of car parks as people know your trying to get out.
If you go for the 50 watter make sure it's pointing down a bit Shocked

Just get a car like mine......when they see my POS coming towards them, they soon back off Very Happy .

One of the UK suppliers used to advertise a kit similar to the type Trev mentioned that fitted at the base of the gear lever.
Maybe check a few site over there (ESM, Bull Motif...) & see if it's listed.

Early Honda Civic had a little light I hung one under my rear bumper. Looks quite good. And works well.
I run this off my Datsun G/Box.

I've been mucking around with a home made bracket and small pressure switch on the gearlever retaining bolts. It looks like it'll work. It all needs to be kept very small to not interfere with the gear lever boot.

As for the light, I'm probably going to use an old smaller style spotlight with a standard parking light globe.

My rib cage gearbox( ex MG Midget) has a switch in the gear selector extension so you must be able to fit these in switch engages when lever moves . Yellow Sedan Red Sedan Blue Sedan Eye Rolls Eye Rolls

Yeah it's a 40 litre stainless tank, it was stracho's work car untill my missus bought it about 6 years ago, his neighbour made the tank for him.

The hand brake is a habit she cant break after years fighting oil in the rear brakes, she used to drive up over the block each day, it's an old photo, we havent used the wooden handbrake for a long time.
The rear brakes work great since I put the sealed rear bearings in, I have dust in the drums these days not sludge. Very Happy
