Hopefully we have an Auto Sparky on the forum.

On most moderns these days your interior lights will come on and stay on for a period when you enter and exit your car and normally shuts off when you start the ignition or lock your doors.

My question is ... how does this operate?

What does it operate off ?

Is it run by a timed relay of some sort?

Shocked Shocked

It's run by a delay unit.
Some just have a delay in turning off the light, others actually dim it down.

It is a plug in module on most cars - Daewoo has a neat little box about the size of a packet of smokes - does int light, headlights on when ign off ding thing, and seatbelts ding - pulled it out of my work car to stop the seatbelt ding(don't need seatbelts on airfield) and lost int lights etc. Ended up just removing buzzer from module
