Got it all squared up and braced tonight

Door gaps look considerably better than they did a week ago - and they actually shut now which is a bonus Very Happy

Stripped the front end out as well - is going to Brians for a birthday and a set of disc brakes

These things are so easy to work on - I reckon theres more bolts holding the grill in my Chev than what I have taken out of this thing so far !!! The only real surprise has been how heavy the doors are Shocked

Blacky

Your latest photo posted tell a lot.

Definatly not an original convertible, as you are now most likly aware, but all is not lost.

Not sure if you have been given the following advise but will continue.

Go to East Sussex Motor web site (England) at www.morrisminorspares.co.uk

Click onto Parts dept
Click onto Body parts
Click onto Convertible/Tourer Parts
Go to Page 4.

Items 2 & 5 are the strengthening panels for the base of the "B" Pillar
Items 3 & 6 are the strengthening panels for under the lower corners of the dash
Items 4 & 7 are the strengthening panels for insertion into the lower door sills

The guys at East Sussex motors are great to deal with, very promp reply to emails and despatching items.

The above web site also contains their current price list and upon an email request they will quote total cost and postage costs almost by return email.

I have dealt with this company on numerous occassions and I know that numerous forumites also trade with them.

Best of luck with the resto and look forward to following your progress through this forum.

Geoffrey

Cheers Geoffrey, the panels you see on the passengers floor are the strengthening plates that I made up after a member here PM'd me the dimensions Very Happy You can see the left hand inner plate in position and ready to weld in. I didnt get into the shed until 8:45 last night so it was a bit late to go grinding and cutting by the time I got the bars welded in - the chopping up will have to wait until Wednesday night.
