iam looking for alternitive lights, in LED...

mine are currently old corroded, faulty, degrading....standard morris lights.

i was wondering what other people have uses to replace theres, and where i can get some from....at this stage iam leaning toward changing the entire rear set to an LED light from LEDautolights.com..

http://www.ledautolamps.com/product-details.php?pid=38

am thinking the 200CSTIM, as they have the plastic crome trim...
these will do for the rear but i am also looking for a replacement for the parker/indacators aswell....

however i dont realy want to move away from the original look...

has any body replaced theres with a modern equiivelant?? if so where can i get them from/??

thanks

Yellow Van

When considering changing anything on your Morry, look at its design. Everything is down very low, particularly your lights. LED's only have an extremely narrow light beam and virtually only throw the light out directly from the light source. To prove this to yourself, get behind a modern car with LED's and move sideways and see how much the light diminishes. Ask any truck or bus driver, who sit fairly high in their rigs what they think of cars fitted with LED's in the stop lights and/or turning lights, particularly in day light. Quite frankly I wouldn't want to have a big vehicle close behind me with LED's in my Morry tail or turning lights, but by all means go right ahead, if you like living dangerously.

Boeing Bob.

I have standard Morris lights.
Mine are Super bright. I have fitted new lense,s and changed the lamps to halogen, these globes use less power. Probable twice as bright.
I find this great particularly the stop lights.
Bought mine from Vintage Bulbs advertised in Classic car mag.
The only downside was the price.

halogens use the same power per watt as ordinary filament globes but they are brighter and run hotter.
if you ever sat behind a car with really bright rear lights at night for any length of time you would find they are very distracting because they are too bright and hurt your eyes.
The registration people will knock back a vehicle if the lights are too bright.

Have you ever driven behind one of those idiots which drive hyundai's with that stupid rear fog light.

They dazzle you at night.

thats what happens when your lights are too bright
