|
|
Hi i was just wondering what a suitable amp rating would be for the relay used in a starter circuit..
I want to protect my new ignition switch.. I have a 30/40amp relay and was just wondering if that is suitable rating to use..
also when wiring the starter relay would the power from the relay get split with one going to the fusebox and one going to the ballast resistor?
Cheers,
Tom

Thanks Grant!
Is this article correct in terms of the wiring?
http://www.how-to-build-hotrods.com/fuse-panel.html
I was thinking I should run a main fuse from brown blue and then do the split as to my knowledge blue brown is straight from the battery..
Cheers,
Tom

so should i be running a main fuse on the brown blue before it goes into the switch?
if im splitting my fuse box into a new blade box.. would i then take a feed post the fuse box?
i.e. wire runs from battery into batter fed fuse box.. through 30amp fuse then into the ign switch? and into the relay?
Cheers,
Tom
