I would be putting a kit through them, sounds like the float needle and seat are sticking

Probably a fault with the float settings or the needle and seat. may be dirt or jamming.
remove the needle and seat and check then check float level

I have sent the brake cylinders away to get re done. I tried fitting the seats but the brackets are wrong . I have to get new ones made. And in the process the drill lead caught a box that fell and then a bit of steel fell into the box and smashed the glass inthe 1939 ish speedo. Any one know where Imay get a new speedo glass?

Any glazier will cut you a glass, just take in what you have for thickness, I get instrument glass cut regularly about $14 for a 100mm gauge from my local hardware

well i got my car back today - and wow so much better - had to change the fuel pump again as the one i bought turned out to be faulty but i have two refurbished carbs now with a new air filter set up - much more pleasant to look at than the last home made one.

Well here the car goes again after a good spell he started groaning and loudly . Thinks my clutch is on its way out . Some how I noticed the brass cap n needle for the carb is now missing . And sounds like my fan is hitting my radiator which it is not . Where is the best place to get a complete clutch kit for my car guys . And how much roughly should I be paying to get it fitted ? As I still don't have many tools here
Many thanks in advance

Check your clutch is adjusted properly, as it is a pushrod it can be adjusted to give you more throw. I have bought a complete clutch in the last year or so from repco, although someone posted on here they were no longer available, shop around as the clutch and pressure plate are available in lots of places like Morris Minor World Sydney, or ebay or from the normal uk sources, there are a couple of british parts suppliers in Aus as well

Just check clutch prices I paid over $300 for a 1098 kit and could have bought it from UK for about $160 including postage.
S.U carbys will not work without damper and oil,If it is a HS2 Carby with flexible fuel line under bowl I have a damper you can have (plastic top the correct one) or does someone closer have one.
A lot of tuning can be done on the carby but not without damper and oil.
Clutches are easy to adjust just follow the manual, not that hard to put in either.
Cheers

well i am here full of a cold - but thought well i got a day off lets look at the car - found the brass top and needle for the carb - resting in between the starter motor and the engine - then noticed that the bolt was missing from the dynamo - top rear and bottom adjust sleeve so was only being held on by one bolt - so bout new bolts for it and am motoring again for a sum total of $20 as i bought a socket and 2 spanners lol
so not bad at all

Am thinking about selling the Morris now $6000 Ono . Runs good now had 5 new tyres comes with spare mm bonnet and side valve gear box and two rear wings poor condition . Had the twin carbs refurbished . Good brakes had new master cylinder just before I bought the car. Car could do with respray.
