G'day All,

New to this site - been on the UK MMOC Forum for some time. Didn't realise we had a local one. By way of an introduction: This is the first mog I've had. Have previously restored/worked on MkII Cortina, Series II Landrover, '64 Beetle and FJ45 Landcruiser. My Dad's into Landcrabs and Kombis, so I get a bit of exposure to them as well.

My project is a '58 4door. I'll have had her for 4 years in November. Original runnning gear. Currently mechanically sound and effectively roadworthy. Slowly starting on bodywork. No serious rust - surface rust on wings. I've converted to a Bosch alternator ex Sigma, halogen headlamps, and aftermarket period heater. Carb and manifold off Mini (Moke) standard exhaust. Doing all the work myself and on the cheap. These pics are about two months old.

It was without the heater when I got it. Hunted for ages to find a good standard one and could only find ones with dodgy matrixes. Found a Toa Denso aftermarket one at Toowoomba Swap a couple of years ago. Had to make up brackets and plumbing to get it going, but it works really well and looks the part. Still not happy with the valve control though. The little panel on the right is the pull control (hot/cold) and fan speed switch.

Southerners, I dunno... Very Happy
