Is there anyway to convert the speedo from mph to kph.
Was told that for some older cars you can get a sticker which goes under speedo glasss and speed can be read as kph.
Does anyone know if this is available for MM
Any other help appreciated Yellow Sedan

Mary,
There were stickers available in the '70's to convert speedos to Km but I don't like your chances of finding one now. You could try swap meets for old stock, but I haven't seen any for years in NSW.
It might be better to use Letraset (spelling?) from newsagents to use on your speedo at the appropriate points.
Most Morry speedos are fairly inaccurate now so it might be worthwhile following someone at, say, 40kph, 60kph, 80kph & marking your speedo accordingly.

A later speedo will fit in the dash, but your speedo will be inaccurate due to the different rear axle ratio (4.55 as to 4.22 in later cars).
You'll also have a problem with your fuel guage as the operation is completely different.

Sorry but he has more money than sense!! it's easy just to learn the convertion.

Mary try this it doesn't take long to learn, you can right it on the speedo glass with a white board marker till you learn it.
60kph --- 36 mph
80kph --- 50mph
100kph --- 60mph
I speed around in my morrie everyday, I think the cops feel sorry for me I've never been pulled up (in the morrie) but I have been rego checked a few times.

Yellow Van Mary I learned that if you multiply the first digit of the klm you are supposed to be doing by 6 you get the amount of miles per hour. eg;
60 kl 6x6=36 36 mph.
80 kl 8x6=48 48 mph
100 kl 10x6=60 mph
It is close to being accurate. regards Heather
