Hi everyone,

I have finally got my new aquisition home. It is a 1957 1000 two door. It is very original except for a few minor mods. It has Major brakes all round and Major riims.

The engine has been bored out to 998 with 1100 head and camshaft. It has a inch and a half SU. Motors along pretty good.

The previous owner restored it to within an inch of its life and lost interest once he had it finished. It now has pride of place in my shed and will be doted over.

The only real major plans i have is to fit extractors (in the shed) and a larger exhaust so it breaths better. It is still +ve earth, so that will have to be changed so I can fit a CB and a hidden stereo.

Where's the fun in a car like that - nothing to do to the bl#$dy thing !!
At least with this car virtually done already, you can get stuck into other projects (if you haven't sold them all Mad ).

BTW, looks very nice Skidmond, NOT THAT I"M JEALOUS AT ALL Very Happy Very Happy .

BBTW, the main vehicle supply wire from the starter solenoid (the smaller one) looks a bit thin if you're planning to add a few electric upgrades.

There are a few small things I want to do, but nothing major.

I wish I could take the credit for its restoration, but I cant.

cheers
