Hi everyone, I got a problem with some wiring on my morris I currently installed a corolla 4k motor and gearbox but im having a problem wiring the alternator up, I have an original 4k alternator with an internal regulator but don’t know how to wire it up, the car still has the original external regulator but i dont think i need to use it, any help would be appreciated thanks.

If it has an internal regulator, it only needs a heavy wire, about 6mm from the pin (nut) to the pos of the battery.
And a light wire from the spade to the ignition light, this one is important as it tickles Very Happy the alternator so it starts charging.

If there are heaps of connections it's externaly regulated. can't help you there Embarassed

Thanks Trev, on the back of the alternator it has an Batt (nut) connection which goes to the batt and a F and N connection, i think the F stands for Field wire so does that go to a dash light then to the ignition switch and the N to a negative somewhere........
