Austin A30. Rev?? yes they do 803 engines do rev because they put 5.3 to 1 diffs in them all 803 were know for high revs and no top speed.
A /30 vans are vary rare here in Aus.
You would of liked my brother Williams A30 it ran a 1360cc Simca engine it reved so hard (till we changed diffs) that it would wheel spin in 1st 2nd and 3rd from take off.
Finally put fan blades through radiator.

Before I was born my Dad had an A30 van, 2 adults and 5 children would have been a squeeze, they also used to take friends and relatives sightseeing in it, thats probably 9 in that little thing, that was the 60's though

G'day
How time flies, it was five years ago today that I became a Morry owner and started the project that was to become MORRX.
I started this thread on the same day so it records the history of the past 5 years.
Owning a Minor is quite different to anything else I have owned, most times I take it out someone will comment on it or just look and smile as if remembering happy times.
Surprisingly this also happens in Darwin, where the average age of the population is much lower than other cities.
This is the first time I have done anything like this and I could have managed the project much better than I did but surprisingly the transplant has ended up with a car that performs much as I had hoped/expected.
The injected 6 port 13b is the perfect engine for older cars, it is relatively compact in size so fits without much cutting, its power is SMOOTH and progressive with power and torque coming with the revs, so you do not have to spend a fortune trying to stop axel tramp from the old cart springs. The engine pulls smoothly from 0 to 7000 rpm it just gets stronger as you go through peak torque at 4000 heading to peak power at 7000. If you use 7000 you pay for it in petrol consumption as you would with any engine but if you stay mainly under 3500 consumption is reasonable at around 30mpg, mind you letting the auto change a 3000 is adequate to keep ahead of the traffic even with the aircon on, 3500 in top is 140kph.
The best part of the changes, for enjoying driving the car, was the brake upgrade. The original brakes worked but did not inspire much confidence in modern traffic, if I had intended to keep the car just for club runs/weekends then the original set up may have had a place but as I use the car any time and especially with the increased power, power assist four wheel disks make life a lot more relaxed when driving and allows you to appreciate the driving more not having to worry about the usual idiots as much knowing you can stop.
Over all I would say a positive five years, some frustration in the beginning getting people to do what they said they would but now I enjoy Morrx every time I take it out and that is what it was all about in the first place.
Cheers
Graham

Interesting project Graham which has been closely watched by a heap of people over the years. Great to see it in Port Mac and perhaps see you again in A-W in 2015? I'm guessing you've headed south out of the wet.
Travel safely!
David

G'day Graham
Have just finished reading through your story. Have read it in the past but due to ageing grey matter had to remind myself. Man that project is awesome - makes me a bit green with envy. Well done. My MM project is not my first blown motor. I had a blower fitted to an FC Holden (hope I have not offended anyone with that H word on Morris forum). There is a story about it that may be of interest even though not Morris related. If interested can tell story, but what section to post it in? Once again congratulations on a superb transplant.
Cheers Bob
