Has anyone used a light switch for their 2 speed wipers?
If so was there any trick to it?

Cheers

Graham, is it a Mini wiper motor..? If it is, the self parking function won't work unless you use the correct switch. Eye Rolls The self parking's all in the wiring... I learned this recently when I rewired my single speed Mini wiper motor.

There's a pretty comprehensive 'How To' on the Ausmini Website - I compiled all the important info (found on that website) on the round body Aussie Lucas 12AUW wiper motors from there and put it into a single post. Not my info, all from people who actually know what they're talking about! Very Happy

Going down this road myself.
To use a light switch for two speed wipers you have a few problems.
1. The light switch comes on once when parkers are on then twice when the lights come on both on together
Solution.1. You need to wire in a relay to turn off low speed ( parkers) when high speed is on using a normaly closed relay therefore when it is powered by high speed it closes circuit low speed.
2. You need to have power for the parking circuit when switched is turned off.
Solution 2. I will have to check my diagram but low speed is feed with power from live side of switch and high speed from relay.
Note! I hace cut two switches to try and seperate them it won't work.
If you are not worried about originality use a two speed lever switch. Lot easeier:P Yellow Ute
