Hello, I have a starter out of a 53 minor & was wondering where the two wires go that come off the armature. Do they both go to the bolt that hooks up to the starter solenoid which in mine is a pull type? mopdit

Are you talking about the two positive Brush leads? If so they solder to the field coils but the other end of the field coils connects to the terminal bolt where the cable from the solenoid or starter switch connects to. The armature and fields work in series.

Auto spark. yes that is it. what sort of solder? I have been told that you use aluminium solder. The auto electrician told me that, but no one else seems to know about it.

Unfortunately I have never been successful in finding a good Aluminium solder in my 45 years in the Auto Electrical trade. U usually find another starter with Copper field coils and replace them too. Makes a better job and a better starter.
