My wiper arms are slipping on the driving shaft because the tapered tightening nut is not gripping, therefore I assume I need new arms.

The blades are held on with the little rubber pegs. I'm told the Tex brand arms are best and have strong springs for better wiping. Is this true?

Anyone know a good seller or have any to sell?
The passenger one is needed urgently for roadworthy but I might as well get two matching ones.

I also need the little chrome metal thingy that covers the centre bottom join of the chrome windscreen trim ie where the split meets the surround.

Any help appreciated.

Keith

Converting your splindles to the splined type will make it easier to fit better arms & blades.

You need a couple of these:

or visit a Land Rover wrecking yard as most Defenders have a similar part

and then you can fit regular 1000 type arms & blades that have proper springs:

I bought two through ESM and they are very good, what I found beneficial
was to replace the spindels shafts? and a real big clean and grease made a huge difference
