G'day all
Frosty see my post under 'my morris'. Grant - the nuts shown in your post look like the serated ones refered to in my post under 'my morris'.

G,day all
Kel - the problem is that because a lot of people do not know of their existance they don't know what to look for. A while back I went to Bunnings to get some inserts and the 'experts' there had no knowledge of them.

They are a great little idea. Who ever invented them must have been clever.
You need to have the tool too use the nuts, so please don't just order the nuts.
Buy a kit to start with, to get the hang of them.
I only learnt about them a year or two back.

G'day all
Kel - I have been using them for years. The visit to Bunnings was to hopefully get some replacement inserts for the kit I borrowed from my son.
As you say they are great things. The last time I used them was to secure a fire extinguisher to the left front kick panel. There is no access to the rear of this panel so Nutserts were used.
Cheers Bob

| The tool is best for the steel rivnuts but the aluminium ones can be fitted with a bolt & nut setup to compress it into position.
