I've finally worked out how to post photos, and it seems everyone is showing off their utes at the moment, thought i'll do the same.

Mine is a 1961 Model (please correct me if im wrong) Chassis no. 8998869 2528 and was once English Grey

Its currently fitted with an 803 for whatever reason, but the chassis has been cut, so i think a Sprite motor has been fitted at some stage.
It came with a Major 4.2 diff and brakes, but had no internals in the brakes so i've fitted Minor brakes back on it as we had all the bits.

A 1275 Mk 4 Sprite motor has been built for it. Bored 40thou, Cooper S spec pistons and rods, ported and polished 12G940 head with extra head studs fitted, built by a very well known Mini specialist.

These photos are a bit old now, but i havn't done much on the body (typical panel beater) just been concentrating on the mechanicals. AND SAVING MONEY

Since removed the tray, repainted the chassis, all ne seals and gaskets in the diff and preparing the front ready for the new motor. The old one that gets me ffrom the back shed to the garage is just about dead (losing oil pressure)

Wow,your a brave man,but glad to see that much love put into it,
just writing to say that there is no need for the chassis to have been cut to fit a sprite engine in a 1000,as dimensionally all sprite motors including the 1275 are the same, oil filter is in the same place unless your ute was fitted at sometime with a series2 chassis which often has a cut or bend where the oil filter is,although I usually dont as it usually still clears if your mounts are good,I cant see any other reason to cut for BMC motors,I know the 1275 head is bigger but thats only affects the front up high, maybe it had a dato or something,or was cut for some other reason?
