You'll find the people bad mouthing the rally are the ones no longer part of the rally and are pushing their own agenda, I'm sure this next rally will be the best ever, as the people pushing their own agenda for their own financial gain won't be part of the rally

Why not register if on the slim chance it is cancelled( I do not think so) you will get a refund.
Sure like to see you and others there.
And it is such a short run for you Ben up the Illawarra Highway.

That's an interesting statement you've put up Ben.
Who have you heard that from?
It would be some of those chinese whispers that have become prevalent since the rally committee structure changed. Why dont you ask those in the know, instead of blindly following rumours. I understand that the club that is running the Nationals - and that's The Southern Highlands Morris Minor Car Club Inc - and not another club - is financially liquid, so much so , that there are some who would love to get their hands on the money.
Gee, that might be a reason that there is a concentrated effort of a couple of space wasters, to try and damage, disrupt and derail the Nationals.
Who knows where these chinese whispers come from, but reading information on another site, one could be led to believe that some of the unhappiness come from statements like these -
Quote: | the Rally Website and the Club Website no longer exist …. |
Quote: | I heard a rumour this morning that …. |
Quote: | Seems to me what's left of the nat,s committee couldn't,t run a chook raffle ….. |
Quote: | UN FREAKIN BELIEAVABLE …. |
Quote: | Methinks there is not going to be a rally …. |
Quote: | What a bloody shambles …. |
Ben, if more people took the attitude of your post on another site
BenB wrote: | the Rally should be about the cars |
and I include you in that - then we would not be having this discussion.
We know that, to date, there are 90+ cars , so thats upto 180 people who are confident.
As written in the rally bulletins the contact details for the rally are

I can assure you that the Rally will be going ahead and we are progressing well. We have started ordering bits and pieces and it is coming together nicely.
Dont listen to Chinese whispers go straight to the source and ask them if you are not sure.
Looking forward to seeing you at the Rally.
Pam

15 cars are leaving from Melbourne (MMCCV club) in 10 days time for the Nationals. I hope the weather forecast for Moss Vale for Saturday and Sunday improves
