2nd question of the day. I have almost completed the installation of the new wiring loam and installing instrumentation etc terminations. As a friend 2 1/2 years ago stripped out the wiring plus the time factor i have 2 outstanding dash lights to idenitify and fit. the car is a 1954 split screen 4 door Convertible(NSW modified) One light is a small cylinder shaped tube with mounting bracket and a small slit running around for the light from the bulb to show out. The other is similar but the top of the cylinder has a red glass for the light to show through. Please enlighten

The first one sits above the ignition key & shines a green light onto it.

The second one is the high beam warning light & shines through a small hole in the centre dash grille backing board.

The green one is held in place by the light switch - it's clamped between the dash & the switch itself IIRC. It might be held in by the starter or choke though, it's been over 20 years since I played with one of those.

The bracket has a cut out in it which slides over the switch shaft:

Got both lights in & working. Found they have to screw to under vertical edge of Dash and the lights face inside the dash behind ashtray. The shape does not allow them to fit behind switches and there were 2 screw holes in the under edge face. Hopefully will see lights through or underneath when I finally hit the road. Thanks for the help
