Hi
Does anyone know where to source Lucas C40 or C39 Generator brushes.
I have tried machining larger brushes to size but not very successfully.
regards
Dennis

I used to buy these from a local auto electrician. They're a common fitment on Lucas gear so I wouldn't think they'd be too hard to find.
As a last resort, I'm sure the Morris Minor centres would sell them, as would Mini centres.

Try these guys, they are wholesalers for the auto electrical industry but sell to the public

when I rewired my f100 they saved me $40 ea fitting for my taillights ie $240 total

Thank you, followed Scotts advice and rang a local auto electrician who had them for $8.00 a pair. Easier than I thought considering how old the generators are. Thanks Grant 69 I have bookmarked that url.
