Bo, you are correct. Tony took the pictures whilst driving down the F3.
The Van tows it quite well but I have to start chasing the gears on the up hills. It weighs about 300kgs

Some really lovely machinery there, well done.
Anyone suggest how I can see more pics of these-they do look good ?
If the teardrop is an unbraked trailor at 300 Kg thats a really good weight match for the van.
In the UK our rules are approx max towing with a fully braked Trailor is 660 Kgs (which would require a fair amonut of gear shifting) and only 90 Kgs more that yours at 300 Kgs for an unbraked one.
Don't know what the official percentage of Kerbside weight for towing over there is, but it is not enforced too strongly over here at present (some really dodgy individuals do get prosecuted at times though)

I just read the whole build of that, that was just a great read. He decribed every little detail, it is bookmarked for future use. And I have informed Silvertop we needed to move so I could have a shed and a go at one of those.

very sweet...
I used to tow camper trailer a lot with my morries, mainly my last van, but it was a relatively modern cub camper [late 70/s i guess] and that too behind a morry turned heads ..but not like your rigs.
But it was my Propert Folding Caravan that really stood out behind my morries, but alas the wood rot was a never ending repair [I bought it with it in, but it keeps reappearing no matter what you did short of rebuilding entire folding caravan]...did it up and it was featured in a craft and stiches show of all things along with my goggo dart...but short of pulling it down and rebuilding, its so hard to contain it [rot] in a folding caravan as it is a magnifcently convoluted 3 piece camper and terribly difficult to dissasemble. Unfortunately I didnt get to use it much, and with limited covered storage I sold it . [those unsure it folds to the size of a large teardrop and opens into a small caravan without canvas all in plywood]
Last camper i had was a strange vintage one...it was very lowline, with a centre tipping lid [pulled out like a cub camper tent style though], sold it to a hotrodderr, then later saw it on a hotrod builders website for sale....satin black and with flames...not in flames...I am assuming he replaced the ageing canvas,
I tips me camper lid to you guys....
ps I still have my dads 1950 caravan chassis [we used to holiday in it] have always been tempted to camper it...but I think i am past that amount of construction anymore...but it part of my past and i still hink about it.
All the campers i've seen on this site are wonderful...and look so good behind your cars, you should all be very proud.
