Hi Brian

Welcome to the ranks of the Morry LCV owners.

I have 2 vans in bits at the moment. Neither of mine have moved under their own steam in about 20 years. But they look interesting in my garage Very Happy

We will all want to see photos of your progress.

Cheers

An early split screen Ute. Very Happy

Can you list the details off the ID tag so I can date it and add to my LCV data base (please)

Looks good, but you might want to turn the bonnet catch top plate around so the tapered edge is to the front, that way it will clear the front of the bonnet

The tolerances around the front of the bonnet and catch are really close, so fitting the plate the correct way will lessen the chance of the bonnet binding and cracking when closed or closing.

Your split screen van is cool, is it a center mounted speedo or a SII

It still amases me how many LCV's have changed from ute to vans and visa versa, my ute started life as a van

Can you get me the ID tag details of your van as well as your Ute, it may be one of the earliest in Australia

The codes equal
O = LCV
F = Pick up
B = Light grey
5 = CKD RHD
3 = Cellulose paint

6513 makes it in the top 20 of old LCV's in Australia, probably late 1954

The E = Green

Both are about the same age, so again late 1954

new additions to make the ute more modern,
Drift Iridium Guages (digital)
Speedo , Temp , Fuel
The speedo you can change from kms-mph depending on which one you like
They are black untill you put the ignition on, then they light up Blue
Had to order the fuel gauge so should see that next week.
