Also where can I get a 100 degree gear wheel this one is 105 and larger than the Minor one.

Good luck John I have asked this question a couple of times and not got a usable answer.
I have just asked the same question on a Pommy Marina forum, so I will let you know if I get any info.

Cheers

John,I have not got to my wipers yet,but feel if i have serious problems with them, maybe some common type Smiths electric type that i have fitted to Tractor Cabs will do the job. These type have auto return to rest and are quite small therefore maybe will go in simply as only attached by wiper spindle and could be controlled by one switch.
Regards,
Ron

John ;

My son and I will be passing through Dubbo sometime during the afternoon on Tuesday on our way to the morris register nationals at Goondawindi.

If you like I can stop by and show you where the pin should be and the wiring.

Regards Grumpy

John it shouldn't be too hard to figure out, all you need is a clip lead and a battery plus a multimeter, you can't break anything trying as there is no electronics just a motor. I assume the body is ground which should connect to one of the pins, the others will be power low speed and power high speed, and possibly a park or int circuit. If you tell me what the motor is off I try and find a wiring diagram for you

Hi Bruce and John

I think the motor that they have is a motor with a four terminal block. Im not sure if the four and five are basicly the same as the extra pin at the end is only the earth terminal which I am led to believe is separately mounted on the body bof the motor anyway.

I also have a diagram if need. There is also a section on the Nepean Morris Minor club's website in the technical section which gives full explanation of how the setup works and how to wire it up.

I based the wiring to my 2 speed wiper motor from infomation i gained from this site and it works flawlesly including intermittant and park.

If you need any help, let me know

Red Convertible forgot to mention that 2 speed wipers have 4 terminals and single speed has 3, but if you have a tame sparky a round single speed might be able to be converted to a 2 speed as the brush plate is set up for it

G'day

Can anyone simply state what the four prongs are for? ie top left is slow etc.
It not being wired into a standard loom means colours are of no help.

Cheers
Graham

Graham, I can tell you what they are for but mine is a five pin not a four pin. If we can confirm that the four pins that you have are the same as my 5 pins minus the one at the end, then I can help. I can even give you the ford wiring colours and tell you which pin to use as I have a telstar switch in mine which should have the same wiring colours as you.

Let me know

Hi John, Do you have the large diameter wheel or the small one. The easy way to tell is if the wheel is the same diameter as your morrie one, you have the small one.

There is a company in the uk that sells the wheels. I can go through my invoices and get the name if you need it. Alternatively, you can move the pin in slightly which will reduce the radius and therefore the sweep.

just move the pin in a small amount. 105 deg might even work. Its only a little bit different. Wire it up and check its operation first. you might be lucky!

Yellow Van When I modified A Mini Minor / Clubman 2 spd motor for necros's 4dr sedan All I did was remove the drive pin from the drive gear and reweld it to new point on gear plate to suit required sweep of wipers. Regards Hangabout (Paul)

Hi All
I dont get on here often but i also am messing with a two speed Morris wiper motor in a 1954 F#@D F100.

I am using an MGB wiper motor ( 5 pins ). It has a 110 degree gearwheel which throws the drivers side wiper off the screen about half the blade width. I ran 'Kev the Lucas man"up in QLD

http://www.hinterlandtimes.com.au/2009/03/05/kevin-baker-a-man-of-many-parts/
Tons of lucas stuff.
Asked about a 90 deg or 100 deg gearwheel.
There was only one wiper motor that was produced in 90 deg. and that was for a Triumph..??.. cant remember the model and was never imported to Australia.
100 degree gearwheels can be found in Triumph 2000 and 2500s.

Also .. stuff like Tasman and Kimberly Austins may have slightly larger gearwheels on the wiper pivots ??

Havent given up on finding a Triumph 2000 .. but i have my 110 deg gearwheel at a mates place waiting to have the pin moved about half its thickness inwards on the wheel to achieve what Libbor has already mentioned.
If nothing else .. this post has given you a link to a very handy Bloke. as the article says.. he has tons of stock for those that are chjasing anything Lucas.
Reddo....
No Morris in shed at the moment Eye Rolls .. Only english content is A40 Ute and 1968 Norton Commando.

Hi John, did you eventually get your 2 speed wipers working. You would certainly need them in Canberra at the moment

Just for your info Guys. If any one comes across the park Contact disc on the wiper motor wheel all rusted up which is very common, just remember that I have brand new stainless steel discs for sale. $22.00 post is free.
