Here's an old pic of the dash but now that I'm at the rewiring stage I'm confused. As you can see there are two metal holders which contain a green light on the left and a red light on the right. I know about the green light but can someone tell me what the red light is for as I can find no mention of it on any wiring diagram nor is there a wire in the new loom/harness for it. Having trouble with pic so will post it soon, it's a 53 series 2 by the way.

Jim

Yellow Convertible Red Convertible Its not the ign light is it that normally sits on the dash of a series 2
It sounds like it is an after market light One of the lights there go to lighting the dash panel

Heather

No it's all original the ign warning light sits on top of the dash but this one sits behind the dash and shines through a small hole in the front .

Cheers

It's a warning light for the high beam circuit.
