Daytime driving lights

When I built my Ute last year I found my headlights had parkers lamps inside,as they were not needed with my series 5 combination flasher/side lights I made them daytime lights by a connection to ignition,
So I started working on a circuit to have the same on my 4 door. I have used the original ones with yellow lamps for indicators.
With a relay and a Diode I now have my sidelights which are in the headlights as daytime driving lights and can still be used as parkers a simple wiring job.

So to add these lights you need a relay and a blocking diode I used one I had about 3 or 4 amps. IN5404
The relay is connected to terminal 86 from the load side of ignition switch and terminal 85 to ground, this pulls relay in when ignition comes on. Then terminal 30 is connected to live side of light switch usually a brown/blue cable.
After removing battery cable you need to remove switch and there should be a few red cables in the terminal one goes to the front lights others to dash and taillights removing one at a time you should find front lights.You will have to connect battery again then remove for safety.
With a short piece of cable connect diode to switch with tail and dash lights,then connect parkers and a cable from relay 87 to bottom of blocking diode .The diode stops power running back to dash/taillights when ignition is on as diodes are one way the coloured end goes towards the lights. I soldered a short piece of cable each end of diode then insulated with heat shrink
For those who don't know the switch knob removes by pushing a pin under the knob.
