Put the battery charger on the car night before a run to the famous Gnoo Blas Classic in Orange NSW 650 cars on show this year.
It is approx 160klms from home so we left earlyand all went well but later on the petrol pump seemed to be running often.
As we reached the site and crossing a main road into the line of cars heading in my car cut out leaving us to push it into the gate.
A look under the bonnett revealed I had knocked the wire off the alternator a few days earlier ,so putting it back on and a clutch start I got the car on site with just enough charge to start it to come home,
I was running daytime lights the pump and ignition and the battery lasted the 160klms and two hours.
